one of the reasons I like Smittas englisky is the none comformity. Why should we strictly abide to rules of a borrowed language which even the pple who call it mother tongue dont conform to to the latter.

I think the idea should be to pass the message and have fun while doing so. using english/swahili/vernacular/sheng by most kenyans on a daily basis can be tricky and it gets even harder for the programmers.

but if your job is to give good english to the readers n listeners then hakuna shortcut. We expect good english

There is no good or bad english. That is why words like buggerup are appearing in the oxford dictionary. Pidgin english and the variety spoken in India is also recognised. Aristrocats and commonners speak different variety and there are several dialects in England some of them so strong that they should be languages on their own. What you could be missing is the Queeen's English

All said and done, nothing peeves me off than a jounalist making some silly mistakes on TV/Radio. they should be the epitome of proper delivery of the language!
