The only reason am not selling my shares on this counter is because I think they will sell this dieing company...I dont think they can survive this industry unless they restructure it and pump in some good cash to exploit the booming property market by connecting those houses.

For a fair price [not sure what that is] someone might be interested in AK because it has installed a fibre network all over Nairobi.

Many companies hav installed the cables infact I saw soliton telmec installing cables on kangundo road. What access kenya hav is just infrastructure which in most cases goes obsolete very quickly due to technology advancement.

I had posted on another thread a story on how AK owners triend to sell the company to safaricom but the deal was seen as too expensive..it also said the somen family hav tried to exit the company but the price currently has restrcted their exit.

The somens are rude, they say their priority is to return ak into profitability and take their sweet time to think the way forward otherwise they said the worst is over it can only get better...hard to believe

Watch out, you might be left holding useless paper. Still wondering why anyone would want to acquire Access Kenya. How did they do the depreciation for their satellite equipments?

BBI will solve it

Key is risk-return pay off. ICT has been worst performer since the market went south but who says things will not turn for the better?

After Airtel gets into 3G, Safaricom improves 3G [& tests 4G for eventual deployment], even Orange offers 3G [or what they claim is 3G]...

Will AK still have a market to grow into?

When does AK release FY 2010 results? Then we will see dust!

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly the dust will choke us...but below 10 its worth a few pennies considering Safcom had such a strong interest in them..the Somens will have no option but to sell.

@the deal, true at below 10 it will be ripe for a take over most probably a hostile one and vultures will be around it to make some cash...
