Apparently , they're new rules and regulations that have "impunitively" made it possible to start these "schemes" again.

Now,

If this is not fraud, i dont know what is. I have always understaood lotteries to be done via prs-shortcodes.

Now Kwachu are sending mass smses asking people to buy tickets ( ITS your day win A Million!)by sending 60/- n multiples of 60/= to individual mobile numbers.

I wonder how many millions someone is going to make before wananchi are asked to be cautious...and send at your own risk!

Dear Members,

We occasionally post updates on what's happening in Wazua on Twitter/Facebook because:
- it's easier for Wazuans on social media to find out when there's something of interest
- so as to inform outsiders (service providers in this case) of relevant updates for action
- a way of growing and increasing participation in the community

You will agree in the current day, it is difficult to ignore social media. Thank you for your understanding.

Very interesting. Casino economy is another sign of laziness within a prospering economy. Clearly someone with money to gamble with by definition has money. But he or she wants "short cuts" without putting that money to good use by starting a small juakali business, kiosk, or even becoming a hawker and growing their wealth pole pole. Let them lose the money to the last coin, in fact come to think of it this is a good way of efficiently allocating money to those in a better position to use it more productively (the owners of the gambling machines and betting industry).
Ni hayo maoni yangu tu!
