is kibaki and raila the only principals in this government?
recent events portray a different picture.
in my opinion the only principals we have is KIBAKI and MARENDE
in most cases the only person who has been able to check the president is only the speaker.
i think kibaki should change his rules of engagement and stop engaging raila in any government matters.
he should start holding regular CONSULTATIONS with marende.

Marende is certainly powerful-the guy has been able to make a really big something outof himself, thanks to/position.
But his latest exercise of power went really far and to tipping point. Wonder what it was all about having the parliamentary committees having to passionatly work on reports only to be trashed at his desk.

This is a tiipping point, if pnu cant stop him now, they will forever remain silent/cowed henceforth. and this could have a strong bearing on 2012 outcome. Although sometimes his emotional tone betray some level of vulnerability? If subjected to proper no-holds bar head-on onslaught, how far can that tone descend?

I will dread his speeches during national holidays. One can actually sleep at times. Kizungu itakuwa nyingi sana and he'll keep quoting the constitution after every sentence.

marende should not interact with the commander in chief, only at the paliament level. nway, if the president loses his life and the vice-president is not there too- then the speaker becomes the head of state for 90 days as we plan for fresh elections.
