No. It is an opportunity to own quality stocks at cheaper prices. Some quality stocks have P/E ratios which are way too high. If nse breaks below 4000 that's the time to bargain hunt. Maybe VVS will get safcom @3.50 then. But I want it lower @3. Money is made as the quality bargains keep getting cheaper. A fat-tail situation where the market under prices the stocks despite rosy fundamentals. Blue chips benefit the most when the market re-prices the undervaluation in the next bullish turn.

bbk-will post better returns considering the sale to stanchart bt its 2011 Q1 results will drop.
Equity-feels its overpriced n largely driven by speculation&emotions n nt mostly by fundamentals
Nbk-highly underpriced if u do its valuation and the best equity buy at the moment.
Nic-Good returns expected n a buy.
Kcb-good returns expected but its price is going no where. this stock cant go above 25
coop-regardless of the results, its at 20 in the short term or lower

The Perfect Worker

1 Bob Smith, my assistant
programmer, can always be
found

2 hard at work in his cubicle.
Bob works independently,
without

3 wasting company time talking
to colleagues. Bob never

4 thinks twice about assisting
fellow employees, and he always

5 finishes given assignments on
time. Often he takes extended

6 measures to complete his
work, sometimes skipping
coffee

7 breaks. Bob is a dedicated
individual who has absolutely no

8 vanity in spite of his high
accomplishments and profound

9 knowledge in his field. I firmly
believe that Bob can be

10 classed as a high-caliber
employee, the type which
cannot be

11 dispensed with.
Consequently, I duly recommend
that Bob be

12 promoted to executive
management, and a proposal will
be

13 executed as soon as possible.
Addendum:
That idiot was standing over my
shoulder while I wrote the report
sent to you earlier today. Kindly
re-read only the ODD numbered
lines.

Saying 'kcb can't go above 25' is such a blanket statement. What's your reasoning behind that? Past performance? What ever happened to ''in the short term, the stock market behaves like a voting machine, but in the long term it acts like a weighing machine''

I thought the change from that sale was largely going to be used to offload the 200 or so management staff making it a pass through item in the P&L?

He he. When numbers are good the market will respond appropriately. No room for technicals i.e resistance e.t.c n all that historical stuff. How many techies could see C&G?

technical analysis is very important my dear friend.Have you ever heard the sayin "its all in the price" by knowing where price is goin it will save you from disasters like buyin a.k at 14.00 than waiting for it to hit support at 10.00 OR buying Mumias at 8.00 yet you cld get a better price at support at 6.00 ... Although technical analysis isnt appreciated in the NSE coz most investors just hold for long and go w/ the heard for those who trade fx or day trade stocks mostly in the developed countries .Trading w/ technical analysis is like a blind man walking w/ a stick...

@qw..oh my! U use AK N MSC for illustration! Gosh no amount of charts will save u from the wrath of dwindling biznas. How many techies survivd the wrath of the global fin.crisis n reccession? I don't undrstand how u can check spark plugs w/o opening the bonnet. Business makes the world turn, plse keep track of the under-lying bizna n not just the units on ur CDS statement. Warren Buffet is amongst the top wealthiest in the world. I might not have as much chums as him but I can surely learn HOW he does it.
