2011 - 1991 = 20.

20 year old car <> classic <> vintage
therefore
20 year old car = really old vehicle

bringing us to conclude that huge depreciation (literally written off all books of accounts)

which implies

Value of 20yr old car approaches zero...

330,000 - 0 = 330,000 rip off!!

Surprisingly, someone will buy your car, so just persevere, utapata mteja.

@McReggae,

Nothing's worth any value ( even a brand new car) unless there is a willing buyer. Now I can bet the guy will get offers and get paid for the car.

guys negative comments will hurt my business, the market is liberal and consumers are deemed to make their independent decision.
I posted a car for sale but not to seek any form of advice.

@ Sigiri et al Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you
Leave the guy alone. If the value of that car is zero, can anyone give it out to me at shs. 10,000? No way. There is always a salvage value for any vehicle whether grounded or on the road. In any case AE 100 Toyotas are some of the most stable sedan vehicles on the road, and their spare parts are readily available.

dont rip off people in the name of business, you ought to be ashamed. a 20year old car at the same value as a 5year old car? where is your conscience?

we all value things differently on the market. We also all bargain. Its unlikely that when buying a car you'd pay the first price you're asked for. If you dont like the price, you walk away and shop around. Nothing wrong in anyone stating how much they'd like to sell at.

Well this is a forum for smart people i believe..selling at a fair price is OK.. No point advertising the car at 350k and end up selling at 200k!!ud rather offer the car at a decent price and attract genuine buyers. mind you, with so much competition these days, even the initial price you set matters....

And so what's a FAIR price? Supply & Demand.
Look at fuel prices right now and tell me where these ideas of "fair" and "unfair" pricing have brought us. Unless a product is regulated, let buyers and sellers strike their own bargain in the market.

I think once a car has been advertised here, it is on offer to everyone who may be interested (and disinterested). People are only stating what they think about the car.... the same way anyone would in a real market... only that this time, what someone says stays alittle longer(as long as the thread exists) than spoken words. If you think you are being ripped off, say it as you see it! If you think it is fair, say it is fair but dont constrain people to say what you want to hear. It's a free world and its nothing personal.

My personal views, for a 20 year old car, it is on the higher side! But that doesnt mean you wont get a buyer, you definitely will and i wish you all the best.
