back then there were no known terrorists in eastern afrika ..i am thinking one of the government official saw them spiting after every two words and thought its a disease and took measures to contain it before it hits Nairobi....

did the government deliberately put off power yesterday so that we may not watch the documentary prepared by Citizen TV?

And where are those analysts who swear that KPLC is a bus about to leave?

Guys this story has been around for Years. Every Year on the massacre annivesary both the standard and nation newspapers put out some pages on it. Last Year Mohamed Ali and Allan Namu did the story on one of their captivating KTN investigative series.

Basically there was a lot of insecurity in that area (Remnants of Shiftas) and kawaida bandits and none of the local residents were helping the gava. The people were rounded up for interrogation at the Air strip. They were beaten and tortured. I think on the 4th day or something like that, they decided to make a run for it and that is when all hell broke lose. They were killed by the security forces in the hundreds and buried just next to the airstrip. I think that the angle that Citizen is taking is trying to find out who exactly gave the order.

What I find strange about this is that there has been no pressure from the international community for real investigations...
