An afternoon love affair turned dramatic on Monday when two lovebirds were caught pants down at their hideout as they ushered in Valentine's Day in Malindi town.
The illicit lovers' relationship was brought to a sudden end when the woman’s husband caught them in the act at a famous brothel in Malindi town.
The man, who works as a shop attendant in the tourist resort town, is said to have been having an affair with the married woman behind the husband’s back for sometimes now.
Acting on a tip off, the husband stormed the lodge where he found his wife in the arms of the stranger and raised an alarm, attracting a huge crowd of curious onlookers.
The enraged husband immediately ordered his wife to go to her parents as the mob descended on her lover, beating him senseless as they escorted him naked to the Malindi police station.
Upon reaching the Police Station, the randy man claimed that he had been assaulted and his cloths torn and that was why he was naked, prompting the police to lock both men in the cells.
Confirming the incident, Malindi Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) David Kerina condemned the act saying that taking a suspect to a police station naked was against human rights.
