With EPS of KSh 10.7 which translates to PE of 5.32 and dividend of Ksh 0.80 plus a bonus of 1 share for every two held it couldn't be any beta. What the sector average PE?

@guru267

Might it be the right time to buy CMC now or we wait a little bit more. Business daily has some positive story on motor industry.

CMC Motors, on Tuesday said it has started selling India’s Eicher brands of buses and light heavy commercial trucks in Kenya after it signed a franchise deal with the Indian car dealer.

It has also acquired the MAN trucks franchise hoping to get a foothold in the lucrative heavy commercial market, a move that is expected to place it in a head-to-head battle with General Motors East Africa, which has successfully gained dominance in this market.

CMC, which saw its profit drop 24.6 per cent last year to Sh406 million, is betting on this market to boost earnings.

“We expect faster growth in sales this year driven by our increased focus in the light commercial trucks and heavy commercial vehicles,” said Martin Foster, the CEO of CMC Motors.

@surealligator I'm much more confident in C&G than in CMC just because of its business model...

It offers quality vehicles at very affordable prices while CMC is competing in a market that is being controlled by the second hand importers...

@thedeal - The closing price was 62/- [last trade]. There was demand at the close at 60/- so I hope it climbs!

Lets wait and see!

I am liking this as well. Heck, if Cables can rise by 25% on the back of a 1:4 bonus issue, C&G with its 1 for 2 should have some way to go!
