Just had a look at the weekly NYSE Egyptian market vectors, it's a carnage aka ulcers central...!

http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?c=EGPT,uu[h,a]waclyyay[pb40!f][vc60][iue6,12,9!lj[$spx]]

If you had entered the market at the start of 2010 as per yesterday's premature closure due to the country's unrest scenario, your portfolio would be in the red at the moment.

http://www.forexpros.com...xo-egypt-advanced-chart - This is Glaxo stock in Egypt, select the 5 day (5D) button to view the long term chart. This stock is down 44% as of yesterday from a high of 19.15 to 10.71 since Dec 2nd 2010.

The Tunisian market also displays the same haircuts and quite inviting to the contrarian investor scouting for discounts after such huge corrections/sell-offs. The moment the politicos in these countries settle, the upside reversal on the markets will be snappish as the economy recovers.

The 2015 or more precisely 2016 Banking Crisis will be led by the top dogs in commodities - Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

"As politicians, executives and financiers networked at parties and panels last week in Davos, Switzerland, Barrie Wilkinson was in a nearby hotel, warning that a 2015 financial catastrophe may b...e looming.

“The fundamentals haven’t been addressed at all,” Wilkinson, a London-based partner at consulting firm Oliver Wyman, said in an interview at the Hotel Morosani Schweizerhof. “The things that caused the previous crisis -- loose monetary policy and trade imbalances -- they’re actually bigger now than they were then.”

What effect will wikileaks releasing some dirty linen on the banks this week have on the markets?

"The Islamic revolution in Iran came on the target in 1978, 72 years following the 1906 forced constitution. One Pi cycle of 31.4 years brought us to 2009. We are now turning down for a 8.6 year leg completing a 112 year turning point in 2018. This is the season for global revolutionary contagions." - The Counter Revolution of Iran by Martin Armstrong.

Interestingly, the cycle of political change in Iran/Persia is IDENTICAL to that of Europe suggesting that those two regions will be tinderboxes until 2018. Whilst the former will endeavor to rid itself of dictatorships, the latter will be adjusting to a new reality as result of the financial crisis and the end of socialism. Like terrible twins feeding off each other, Greece sparked off riots in Ireland, Britain and Spain while Iran was the trigger to a successful uprising in Tunisia, Algeria and now the Land of the Pharaohs.

Quite interesting an interview by Peter Schiff with Charles Blahous (a US Social Security trustee) who admits Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme... Well he didn't say these words, but his admission that the fund is likely to fail is shocking.

@KK - I have been looking at these firms for a PM play other than the gold & silver ETFs.

Fresnillo plc (LON: FRES) - For silver play in London - world's largest primary silver company and Mexico’s second largest gold producer.

Minera Frisco - Also looking at this Carlos Slim's spin off for silver/gold mining in Mexico.

Capital Gold (AMEX: CGC) - Gold miner - Mexico small cap

Gammon Gold (NYSE: GRS) - Gold miner - Mexico small cap

Argonaut Gold (TSX: AR) - Gold miner - Canadian small cap
