Jesus, his disciples and the prophets did great works including turning water into wine, parting of sea waters, healing the sick and even raising people from the dead.

Before he left Jesus said that those who followed him would do greater works than the ones he did.

How come then we don't hear of miracles today? Are the sick being healed? Are the blind getting their sight? If today you start praying for a dead man to rise to life you will be judged as being insane!

What changed?Could it be that these miracles are happening but there is no one to document?

What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing

Oh? Hello Kadonye?

Of course miracles do happen alright. And we hear a lot about them. Just tune in your tv on a weekend morning and you will see all sorts of 'miracles'.

Only that the genuine ones to those whom they happen do not go about advertising it to uninterested parties. They silently recognise where it is from and give the praise to the One it is due, not the unbothered public.

Just my thoughts.

These other ones, well......

Luke 17:11-19

10 men were healed of leprosy but only one came back to give thanks. That is the only one who was told 'your faith has made you well'. The other nine, we dont know what happened to them or even if they finally got 'well' as the thankful man did.

And remember there are other ones doing bright miracles today...they are many. Countless.

@ kadonye,

just register and start Kadonye Full Gospel Church of Kenya (KFGCK) and.....tell your congregation that they must pay the tithe as that belongs to God.....soon, you will see the real miracle!!! Ask muiru, wanjiru, deya etc
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

I asked this question once in a certain congregation.... I was labelled a Pagan... and prayers Pray were said to 'make me see the light' and save me from the devil who apparently 'had possessed me'

Am still waiting...

The purpose of miracles is to win over non believers. The miracles are supposed to give glory to God making those who experienced the miracle come closer to God.

Now lets say God has given you the power to heal how would you use that gift. The temptation to use it to your benefit are higher than to give that gift for Gods glory.

sample some of the so called testimonies on Tv you will hear things like ....When I came here and the apostle prayed for me I got healed so am telling every body who wants a miracle to come to apostle so and so....

I think the reason we are not seeing miracles now a days is because we lack righteous and selfless apostle.and further more a guy who is selfless would not popularize his miracles.

IMHO: Miracles ziliisha na JC. Thereafter, magic continued, then came the age of Voltaire an Renaissance and voila, science turn things upside down.

The only magic that happens today ni ile scientific!

miracles still happen today just as yesuwangu commented God is true to those who believe and so are miracles cos they all have to do with your faith. for without faith its very clear, it'd be hard to see the miracles. read your bible well the answers are therein and if you're serious invest time in seeking answers much the way you seek them when investing.

Kadonye, Miracles happen every second, every minute of every day; the sun and stars in their courses above, the air we breathe, the cycle of water from the sea to the sky, on the land in the rivers and back to to the sea, the earth and all the plants and animals that live on it, life itself!!!

Our lives, not just our physical bodies but that which makes us aware..........yes, our awareness of our existence. How we are conceived, born, grow up, get sick, get well, grow old and die!! All these are miracles, wondrous deeds of Him by whom all things are.

In my opinion the deeds of Jesus Christ 2000 years ago mean nothing to me. I was not there and knowing how people distort information I do not know for sure what is true and what is porojo na kuongeza chumvi. I am not impressed by him feeding 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. I am more impressed by the fact that there is fish in the lakes and seas today and that wheat grows on land and that it is grown and harvested and ground into flour and made into bread to feed millions.... no billions of people. These miracles happen every day!! I am witness to the works of God first hand without having to rely on accounts of people I do not know and never saw 2000 years ago.

A couple friend of mine had been married for over 5 years.. they could not conceive. They went to all the fertility doctors in Kenya, spent a fortune, then went to the US and the final verdict was:- she cannot get pregnant.
They went back home and prayed and asked God to give them grace to adopt a child. A few months ago, the lady was unwell and they went to hospital sure it was malaria as she had traveled.
Lo and behold, she was told she is pregnant! Three months!
If that is not a miracle.. tell me what is!
....above all, to stand.

Maybe it is the husband who had a problem and the wife got wise to it.

The guy is talkn about the physical miracles that Jesus+his disciples did like turning water to wine... If you know of any hapening TODAY just tell him...Ati unless u have faith ndio uone is the story of Abunuwasi who said "There is a snake in the sake but only those who are faithful will see it" . Nobody saw nothing but since one was afraid of being called unfaith ful ..everyone "saw it" .If Jesus realy did the miracles I beleive everybody saw the Miracle be him a pagan or a devoted christian..Then why is it that now u must be a devoted christian to see them??
