Kenyans remain tribal to the core and some of the worst ones are found in the city itself.

Brand kenya and another institution (I forgot which) were meant to undertake initiatives to bring kenyans together. But they are largely silent.

The risk of PEV or similar incidents depends on political alignments. These alignments have not fully crystallised so it will be difficult to say at this stage.

i think the institution is NCIC, but kenya is a very tribal country and this is not going to change soon.

PERCEPTION is the biggest problem we have.Reading a DN article on 'what Africa thinks about Kenya' some weeks back, I realised the World hasn't forgiven us yet. They think we're savage creatures who will repeat the 07/08 madness.

I think 07/08 is still so fresh that there is no one who is going to be hacking another in 2012. However, because of the past experience and the uncertainty of what may become of the elections, there will be a bear... which is good for those who intend to jump in and ride the wave.... my thinking.

Since the last post in November, things have started taking shape. Alliances are forming, Kenya is busy trying to get out of the ICC, Corruption cases have gone a notch higher, IDP's are regularly making it to our prime time news. Are we raising our collective political temperature?

Will kibaki succession be about a successor who is picked because he will be the 'peace' candidate (read one of the KKK) or he will be the 'implementor' of the new consitution(read one RAO)?

What will either option portend for the NSE?

Be as liquid as posible towards 2012 to pick the enormous bargains.

This is my strategy towards 2012 as the market will be very bear and be able to choose from any counter i wish to and wait to cash in by 2013-2014 market pick.

If hague train doesn't take off, we'll have PEV. Guaranteed.
