i have been to a couple of wedding commitees and the pre-wedding fxns. i have noticed that this leaves a bad feeling especially in the comittee members who feel that they did more than they should do(especially finacially). my question is should people contribute towards friends wedding, ama they organise their finances and ask for help on planning?

surely there is no universal procedure, if one has enough money, l bet planning would not be a problem, judge with your concience, join n' contribute or simply opt out...

A wedding committee is primarily an organising committee. It should never turn out to be a fundraising committee. At times I wonder whether marriage/wedding comes as a surprise to people. 'Haiya, by the way, si we get married?' Then they set a date, only to realise they have a deficit of around 70%. Why do you think most committees have over 20 people? Especially in this age of service providers?
