It is beacuse of this....
"...I know there will be a lot of mails about Blackpool being denied a stonewall penalty and it's always the same with United blah blah blah. The fact is the incidents that United get in their favour are only highlighted because;
1 They are the biggest club in the country;
2 Their games are viewed by the most number of neutral or anti-United fans;
3 There is a consensus built up over the last number of years that United get every decision going and people just jump on the bandwagon and;
4 Jealousy.
The fact is that over the course of the season, United get the same number of 50/50 decisions as most other teams. At Old Trafford they might occasionally get away with the same decision that Liverpool get away with at Anfield or Chelsea at the Bridge.
The only reason people can't (or won't) highlight the decisions that Wigan or West Ham or whoever get in their favour now and again is because they are not as high-profile a club and their games are only viewed by a fraction of the people that watch games involving Manchester United.
