I have just boarded the co-op bus with 50,000 units at 20.50. i intend to alight when unit price hits 30.
Is it possible that this stock will achieve this before twenty twerof (2012) polls

Will it make a difference? You are already in it. Your question should have preceded your purchase.

This was brave of you. The performance will mirror most of other banks. Let us hope that we receive reasonable long rains and that the economy sustains the 2010 growth.

@ fyatu welcome to wazua wish u well in this buy, but if you asked me before, you could have bought kplc next week at about 21. This because there is a high likehood of price depression as a result of the anticipated huge supply as some investors would like to sell at least part of the rights. Kplc has better chances of hitting 30 as compared to coop as it was there pre_rights. once again, welcome and well wishes.

Think interesting for someone to throw away a whole ksh1,000,000 into a venture he knows very little about..

@Fyatu you are like one of those guys who buy automatic cars then ask where the clutch pedal is. You cant invest in a business you do not understand. You are getting onto the bus after your stop. my advice is for you to keep your ear to the ground maybe coop has abit more mileage but you should have done your research first. good luck on your speculative 30

@Stock.enigma, dkuyoh and proverB....i had actually placed an order for more than 50,000 units at a cost of 18 bob in december last year but the stock never went down.My money was sitting with my broker and i had to put it to work...i panicked because i guessed the bus would leave me again so i settled for 20.50

My mind is made up....i'm alighting at 30

@Githundi,Jerry and Pkoli thanks for sharing your pieces of minds(medulla oblongata)

@fyt-truly you are a newby. In this game,you make your profit when buying(thats the reason behind the term-bargain). Why would you buy at sh20.50?-the highest price tag, next time order below. E.g you should have askd for sh19.50,took a back seat for 2 weeks n voila!.

@Fyatu

That is a million shillings, pesa pap. It seems you got it easy or you are doing money laundering.

You should have split the same four times. Talk to wazurians, and invest accordingly.

20.50 now to me is tricky esp.as this stock has rallied bfore results.infact it might fall when thse high expectations miss in the 2010 results. Scan, EB, DTB fall in this category as well-spec buys. I would have gone 4 KCB.

@Surealligator.....In the year 1992 Kamlesh Patni visited past predident Moi at state house Nairobi with a briefcase containing kshs 5M in kshs 200 denomination....Kamlesh was 25yrs old and he had genuine zeal of making money

Like Kamlesh's money....mine did not come easy, i just put my money in the market for it to "work for me" and by extension build my "Kenyan Economy"

And what is this thing that a young person cannot accumulate 1M???

SUREALLIGATOR:I don't think you understand what is money laundering well from what you have said in your post to Fyatu.Money laundering is not buying something worth a million shillings or more.It happens a little earlier at the point where the money was entered into the banking system.By the time its in the CDS account with say Dyer and Blair its no longer laundering.Its investing 101!! Get it???
