Just bcuz Nas has an album with that title, it dont mean that hip hop is dead my friend...ever heard of the word underground...go to youtube and search for Blu and exile...Kijana hip hop still lives.. its your likes who want to listen to commercial crap that are killin it.

@DJ Soxxy, seems you dont know as much about hip hop as you would like to believe. @PK is right, there are way better lyricists in the underground. Not that your choices are bad.... just keep your ear to the ground!

Yes he does. He was formerly with NWA before they split up...and he went on a hiatus, musically speaking.

He was supposed to release a new album sometime in 2010...still waiting for it.

Its really hard to say that there is a great rapper of all time.
Each of the rappers that I like, both dead and alive, have their own unique style and are generally of the underground type. So here is my list of alive rappers...

Kenya - Kalamashaka, Uko flani Mau Mau, Nazizi, Michelle and Juliani

Elsewhere - McLyte, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, McHammer, Warren G, Xzibit, Queen Latiffa, Easy E
