Technically the stock is due for a correction its RSI is at 75 and it might not be wise to buy now ....wait for a correction then buy it up....Funny enough its the only financial stock seriously rallyin...ON LOW VOLUME. Definately not a good thing..

it usually trades about 8000 a day, which has picked up over the last week to about 50000. Today 300000 shares. Thats 50m. How's that low

qw, tuangalie turnover, as opposed to volume. Don't expect DTB to be trading a million shares a day like KCB, CO-OP or Equity. Remember it 'only' has 163 million shares

MY dear good God @ y are you trying to throw volume out of the technical analysis equation..DONOT ...Price is King Volume is Queen...Volume tell alot of what investors feel about a stock.Throwing the volume out of the equation is like driving w/o fuel or like exploring unknown places w/o a map..
Its pretty much difficult to know the investors sentiment about a stock doing very low volume and that pretty much plain dangerous when you invest in a stock that "not speaking " to you as shown by the amount of shares traded.

When/where did he say that? Please let all Wazuans know... Unless he said it in a *private* one-on-one conversation with you... please provide a link/source!

@qw you get more wierd every day that passes. You are actually arguing that different stocks at different prices that trade with equal volume have equal turnover??

DTB traded 300k shares and KCB 2.2million but the turnover was almost equal... I thought this was basic math even for a esteemed technical analyst like yourself

Qw only supports stocks he is invested in.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

try +40% since it was around 106 in september..and even higher if you got in much earlier..when stocksmaster, Guru and Hisa were discussing DTK, Jubilee and stanchart..focus however stayed on stanchart..save for Guru smile

fact is whoever is offloading now..for whatever reason..has made a commendable return.. I doubt anyone buying now is likely to see the same kind of return or even better..i doubt.

However maskana..your sentiments on safaricom..i very much disagree.. especially coz there's is no factual fundamental news expected until far later on.. any probable cause on price is likely to be out of market correction..or break in the pessimism affecting safcon now..
