CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! CAUTION ! ...please donot rush to buy or sell this stock until the dust has settled.I'd say you give it a week or two and let Mr.Market tell you what he thinks about the stock
Yet again you can be a true bargain hunter and bottom pick from the many wanjiku investors who want out this stock ASAP...

Just as Wal-Mart gets a controlling stake in Massmart (S.A) www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/business-12205922 Will we in the near future see Kenyan retailers being subject to takeover bids from American and European retailers?

Yes but we all know demand will be at 6/- and the supply will follow. There are very many dejected investors who are just looking to offload.

BBI will solve it

I am waiting for this stock to be re-listed. I know that the many investors who have been locked for a very long time will opt out. But for me i know that Ciano has done a great job and i will buy at anything below Ksh.7

All those entertaining that wishful thinking that the Uchumi share price will colapse upon re-listing will be shocked to the bone, when the share gets support form the fantastic numbers coming out of Uchumi.

This is a comny going places and its opering in a very immature market with acres of room for growth.

Any buyer will be lucky to get the share at 17 KES at the re-listing date.

Just watch the below video and see why iam this opimistic.

I doubt this.... this share will definitely hit sub 10. Main reason being, the people locked in are not entirely enlightened investors.... there are majority of the uninformed speculators who think shares just go up and up.... now, to have the company close shop.... it was the hardest blow...so they wont be looking at what they will gain after such a long wait but what they can recoup coz they had already written it off..... those are the ones who will be offloading quick hence suppressing the share price...

Dear @yekeyeke - Please buy my Uchumi at 12/-... You can keep the upside!

I think Uchumi case can be argued either way. There are those who would be keen to sale & recoup whatever they can recoup and yet others who will want to hold and see which direction the share price takes. Having written off my entire holding in this counter I believe I will hold for at least the first week for the direction to be confirmed. After all what do I have to lose.
That said I think the reasons that have kept the company afloat this far could just be transfered to the market as optimism.
