@waithaka, sudan actually means land of blacks.Infact, Mali was once French Sudan

can you guys get back to new southern sudan name?

why cant they just call it The Republic of Southern Sudan (RSS).....thats the way everyone knows it!!!
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

So the preceding posts seem to be in agreement that the new name for Southern Sudan should be Mount Kirinyaga. Or just Nyaga in short. I prefer Kirima.

They should stick to Southern Sudan. Having robbed off their nation,(as claimed by a s.sudan brother )letting go off their original name 'sudan' would simply depict a coward nation;double jeopody-for an arab friend visited sudan long ago with the impression to do business only to steal the nation and claim for a share of its cake.
