Now that gava has decided to deny some top performing students places in public schools, our option is to take them to private secondary schools. Any one with a listing of say top 50 private secondary schools ?

Even Sunshine, Juja Preparatory and Karengata did not post impressive results as they are used to....but they have been at the top for a long time.

Munoru highlands owned by Professor Munoru is the most promising boys school right now.....it has risen phenomenally to be one of the top boys school in central province.

@ Kelele...wachana na Juja prep.....the results it posts are artificial. This schools gets students from starehe who score B plain and above..sponsor them to repeat in their school to boost their mean score.In 2007, the school had 12 fully sponsored repeaters from starehe....bearing in mind that the whole candidate class in Juja had less than 30 students. Thats why the school used to be in Top ten among the private schools.

@Kelele,

Booker Academy is a mixed school.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

People,
This post exemplifies what ails our national thinking and psyche regarding education. It's all about examination results. How about listing schools that produce well-rounded self-aware individuals who can cope with the pressures of the Flat World?
IMHO Academic knowledge beyond a certain degree is plain superfluous. You only need so much after which your life skills better be good.
If you doubt me, just take a moment and glance around your office. You'll see an accountant who was in Alliance working next to another accountant who schooled in say Laikipia Girls. Likewise you'll see an IT guy who studied in Mang'u working alongside another who was in Marsabit High.
Somewhere along the way we all encounter what I call "THE GREAT EQUALIZER". I don't know what it is but somehow we all end up being almost the same-in terms of jobs we hold, neighborhoods we live in, cars we drive, lifestyles we lead etc. Somehow the schools that we went to don't come into play.

@Wodu Wokiri..good stuff, as i always say "water will always find it's own level"

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Wodu. Am cock sure that when you choose a school you dont put the names on a dart board and thru a dart for it to pick a school for you. People use different criteria. I have choosen to go this route.
