True that. Arshavin is in very poor form at the moment. Rosicky and Squillaci should also be sold off. And what happened to the Arsenal forwards? Ran out of luck? Chamakh? Bendtner? Szczesny has great potential to grow into an awesome keeper. Eboue, Denilson and Vela are just plain rusty at the moment.

@TAZ, yes, Wenger should stick to the strong first 11 for matches from now on.

@jguru, leeds played a very nice game, unlike man city. they were actually pressing arsenal, who at times in the first half were committing errors and losing the ball. but when arsenal were on top, who saw the spirit of the Legend Schmeichel in Kasper?? Awesome saves. It was an interesting game.

But one thing I find amusing about these non-Premier League sides; replays at their home turf and they are usually bundled out.

The draw with Leeds is just another unnecessary fixture in an already busy schedule. This demonstrates the guys on the bench may be not be that good to win a match for Arsenal. We are pursuing all four tournaments and with such results..........much as Arsene wants to keep all the players happy, there's need to shoot from all the cylinders and maintain the first eleven to kill off such games. The next game is on Tuesday, there's hardly any time to rest.

its just too early to celebrate chelseas resurgence. recent statistics show that Ipswich has been been losing heavily in the championship..meaning that a heavy win against some nondescript club is not indicative of blues stamina and strength of character..that was just a ka sweet one night stand that may take long to come again

Howard WEBB is an FA employee and his decisions reflect on the FA. Man u has never applied for his services, neither does fergie choose who to officiate a game and how..if Webb is a Man u fan...that is his problem

Hapana. Tumekataa.

If Webb who referees a game of man-u is a man-u fan, there is definately a problem called SUBJECTIVITY! Infact he shouldnt referee in any game in the EPL as theoretically every team is challenging each other for the crown.

Ma fans! Happy new year to you all! Was on leave and preferred drinking my money than having internet at home...I have never fancied surfing on the phone.

Anyway,TMI! I had to read the thread from pg.36 (YES,36!) and how I wish I had not drank all my money!

The passion in this thread surpasses all others but let's remain civil, we'd all be friends in another lifetime (perhaps are in this lifetime)

I don't know where to begin but yaliopita si ndwele, water under the Bridge (no pun intended) blah blah.

As a Man Utd fan, the most important thing for me is winning - the more titles the better. If we win playing good football, that's great (the reason every football fan, player and coach aspires to be like Barca), if we don't, hio pia ni sawa....room for improvement.

When we play badly and win, I deem it as luck (West Brom vs Man Utd), when we play decently and lose/draw in the last minute to some handball offside I deem it very bad luck (Birmingham vs Man Utd) but quickly realize that Neville should have been sent off and Odemwingi should have scored the penalty in the West Brom game...the variables are too many.

I enjoy the thrill...get very passionate during the game (rage, ecstacy and everything else in extremes) and then make my observations objectively afterwards.

Man Utd has been a great team since the onset of the premier league...very consistent. I like consistency. Never have they finished below 3rd spot. Many trophies, great brand and all other things nice.

I respect our great rivals Arsenal, great passing football etc. When I watch ESPN classics, I marvel at the way Henry used to scare the shit out of me every time he got the ball. Arsenal fans I don't know what you like, playing great football and not winning in a long time, profitable club or your stadium...I really don't.

But I know that if Man Utd had not won anything in a while I'd be very frustrated and would not excuse the performance, I'd be hoping for changes...blending youth with a winning mentality blah blah...I don't hate Arsenal, I just don't like the fans much...(yes, I know the feeling is mutual)

I used to hate and admire Chelsea under Mourinho, watched their every game hoping to see them lose but secretly admiring the winning mentality he had instilled in them...I dare say they'd have won the CL by now had Mourinho stayed. For the 2 seasons, they won by huge margins of points with several games left to spare.

While I enjoy the unpredictability of the EPL, I want the team I support to win. That's it. I was afraid the Glazer indebtedness would catch up with us sooner than later but the Qatar Royals seem to have recognized a good brand...when it comes to pass many will say we are going to win coz of oil money...that won't be true because the foundation was set from 1986 and is as solid as can be...the reason SAF was brough to OT was stop the absurd dominance of Liverpool...I would say mission accomplished to the fullest, final nail on the coffin would be the relegation of the Reds but even I would prefer them in contention, bad blood aside.

The ramblings of a man who has been away from the battle from too long...back to the war/debate. Man Utd away to Tottenham this Sunday, I predict another draw, Tottenham will be eager for revenge, but I suspect we'll sneak it in 2-1.

Chelsea at home to blackburn...beating Ipswich 7-0 may just be what they needed...3-1 to the Blues

Arsenal away to West Ham...3-0 hammering by Arsenal, maybe more.

Man City at home to Wolves...they've been strong at home, even when they draw...3-1 to City with Dzeko scoring.

But then again, this is the EPL.

P.S. Apologies for the ramblings, I could not resist

@ winston..thats exactly the point!!! WEBBS is not fit to ref any game!!! My point is that His subjectivity has nothing to do with Man u..it has everything to do with FA and the officials it employs

@smano...karibu.

Chelsea are not out of the woods yet. Might be a draw.

Mancity should win after drawing last week and adding Dzeko. They will definately want to keep man-u in sight.

Westham is recovering. Though still bogged by relegation woes. Arsenal must pay attention (as ancelotti would say) especially since they play midweek (carling cup).

As for man-u I would wish for a draw. But its their season and Redknap doesnt get the better of Fergie in most games. Man-u should win comfortably.
