Was about time but it took a long time to realize they are being hit by airtel on the sms.

I have for long rebelled from using Safcon sms. My airtel sms was busy. Seems my rebellion paid off. I'm sure many were in on this rebellion. Kudos to them for waking up

its two way......
Either they lost a lot of cash during the festive season to airtel as everybody sent their forwarded SMes,
or everyone subscribed to the 20 bob offer for 100 SMes, and bob realised the cow wasn't giving expected milk.....a little bit late, but it's not yet too late to learn.....

The only language Safcon undersstands is that of money. Kudos to all those who boycotted Safcon SMS to force them to make this change

For the record @KenyanLyrics only money (or the desire for it in the midst of losses) would make YU convince us they are the cheapest option, or make Orange paint our newspapers black, or Airtel travel thousands of kms from India to find RKelly to sing for Africa.

Surprisingly though, millions of Kenyans prefer to pay 69.00 (and perhaps 35 by extension to Safaricom/Airtel) than just 1.00/= for a plain text. So I wouldn't expect either to make a loss on their SMS line.

People need to be protected from themselves, for their own sake smile

This is all about CCK lowering SMS charges across operators. Safcon CEO had already indicated they would lower sms charges once this was i place.
