I agree Safaricom is the definitely the strongest brand..
Lakini OMO pia is pretty strong.. I remember hearing this at a shop "hebu nipatie ile Omo ya Toss!!!"
I think Blue Band, Kiwi have also stood the test of time. The rich have money working for them; the poor and the middle class are going to work for money.

1 -Blue Band - so much that when we are out of Prestige/Biddy's/etc, I can be heard exclaiming, rather sadly "There's no BB?" BTW Thank goodness they discontinued the bread spread - I still have not finished greasing my 504 door locks with it....two years later....
2 - Toyota - 95.34% of the cars are Toyota's. In 1983 I recall I could recite all 70 or so different cars in the Safari Rally - down to the model...and the drivers. VERY few were Japanese cars. These days I cannot tell a Toyota from a Mazada from a Honda. Its just a Toyora (Kikuyu-American twang!)
3 - Unga (and the windmill)
4 - Ketepa - more 70-90 year olds know Ketepa than they do Safcom.

to me a strong brand is a brand that can pull a KIINI MACHO on Kenyans and run off with their money my brand is DECI invesment scheme Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

Safaricom, Tusker, Senator, KCB, Equity, kplc, Co-op Bank, Bidco, KQ, Mumias Sugar, Nakumatt, Nairobi Hospital, Nation newspaper, Citizen, DT Dobie, Bata, Ketepa, Gor Mahia, KTN, Carnivore, Yana (former Firestone tyres) And many others but I consider these to be the strongest. BBI will solve it :)
