LOL JkMwatha! I've actually already seen something nice, but I need to prepare myself financially! Too many projects with limited resources you see! Have to free up some cash ... then I will give you a shout cousin! Thank you again!

You might also want to look at http://www.autotrader.co.uk/. but dont take every thing you see here as gospel.... Advertisers are not rated.

If you decide to contact/communicate with the sellers... avoid telling them that you are outside UK... as they will think your pulling a '419'

Sawa JkMwatha! I thought you were in the business? I was hoping I'd use you?

I will check out autotrader but would not dream of contacting a stranger! I'm hoping you don't turn out to be like that albertross character!

I am a car dealer.... I am just building trust with you.... nothing to hide.

You seek the vehicle you need... I check it out for you (I know what to look for,you dont)

If its good,you will still need me to sort everything out for you.

The other option.. (which will be a better option) is that I will get you better deals that you can get on ebay/autotrader or anywhere/anyone else in UK. (Any challengers? Speak now or forever hold your peace!).

Let me know what you are looking for.

PS; no relation with albertross.

@JkMwatha

How much would a 'good' Audi A4 cost me in total to put on Kenyan roads? I'm looking at the 1.9L TDi or the 1.8T Quattro, less than 50,000km mileage will all extras! Year doesn't matter as long as it can get into the country!

50000kms is equivalent to 31000 mls.

Average mileage for a used car here is 10-12k miles/year
So for good cars 3yrs....approx. 30-36k mls (48- 60,000 kms)
4 yrs ...40-48k/ 5yrs 50-60k mls (80-96000mls)
Saying that you do find some cars with lower mileage.
For such.... it is essential to do a HPI check for warranty of mileage.
Prices for genuine low mileage are high
I would advise you to go for average mileage.

eg Audi 2002 ..A4 1.9 TDi 70k mls (112k kms) £5,000
Same car 30k mls (50 000 kms) - £6000
A4 1.9tdi 2004 ...50k mls (80k kms) £ 7300

Inspction +delivery to port approx.£230 (depending upon location of vehicle- in many cases no delivery costs).

Shipping £980 RoRo or £1350 containerised.

I/We get a Commission 10% of cost of vehicle.

Duty...(changes regularly). you may need to find out from clearing agent.
By experience I factor in 100-120% of purchase price of car.

Send me an email and I will send you some result/figures of Cars that have docked in Mombasa.

@jkmwatha,does the freight figure include insurance (what would be the 'I' in CIF) or is insurance separate?

@JKMwatha..

Could you also send me the same? nditika at gmail dot com.

I am more interested in a VW Golf Make V though. How much would one with mileage < 60000 kms cost me to get into my garage?
