[quote=Aguytrying...what does 1:4 mean. 1 bonus share for every four owned? In which case it should be written 4:1.[/quote]

@ Tommy , u are definately right . i have eveready in my portfolio. True to my word i bought it for speculative purposes.10,000 cool shares . Here's my logic as to why come January it'll rise

1. its at its 52 week low .The only way is up according to technical analysis.Support and resistrance

2. its a small cap co. and will easily ride the January wave.

3. This year (2010) it returned 100% in the first six months.Note that its now trading what it used to trade at before making that 100% return.

@QW. why do you want to risk so much, when there are less risky shares to invest in.

Who said the two are mutually exclusive?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

The volumes look too thin to make any meaningful decision on the direction of the stock.

@ PKoli . the volumes are thin because people are holding them for better.More so its the holiday season and nothing much really happens other than selling for holiday cash.I have been accumulating Eveready for a while now and technically the stock's direction is only up.
With the maufacturing sector starting to pick up steam i know eveready will ride that wave. All the doubting Thomases see you at 6.00 w/ my eveready.

Bw. Qw na Mondo. Am sorry to bust your eveready bubble but check this link. Eveready at p.e of 75.
By a simple calculation allowing a p.e of 15 the stock should be selling at around 65 cents not your six shillings.
