I doubt the later will ever happen (an end to the drama that is) Only one person can harness that raw talent while nipping his arrogance in the bud finally turning him to a world class player. Sir Alex Ferguson! Too bad for Balotelli coz his chances of ever being cached by SAF are slim to none! I don't quite agree with you, SAF has never been good at handling arrogant players especially the over-rated ones. Ronaldo, Beckham, Ruud Van & Tevez were all sold after they became problematic....SAF has always lacked the influence he would want to have over "non-english" players. That explains why he always jumps at the opportunity to sign a player from England, Wales, Ireland etc. A player like Balotelli can't survive in the EPL, he sometimes reminds of Adebayor. I really can't understand why he chose to represent a country which has always insulted him.

But then he's a Prima Donna with attention seeking tendencies. Maybe we should just blame his rough childhood. See link below: Life and Times of Mario BalotelliNever count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

These shows you that SAF doesn't entertain nonsense. With SAF, no one can ever be bigger than the club. If you want to stay, then you shut up and put up! As for Ronaldo, it was always obvious he would leave [given his love for Real since childhood, language, proximity to home country etc.] and even then, he was not allowed to leave when he wanted and SAF managed to get a world record transfer fee for him. True, that's why i think Balotelli would have been sold very fast by SAF.

@ Taz, I do not agree with you. SAF buys English/British players because this is their land and to win localyy you need a backbone of local lads.
Tevez left because in his own words he felt let down because SAF preferd to buy Berbatov instead of him.
Rudboy became a bad influence on the team and could not agree with Keane,Ronaldo and Rooney. ( 3 against 1) guess who had to leave...
We all know what Beckham wanted, stardom, babysitting while wife shopping instead of training... He has always said that He was sold against his wishes.
As for Ronaldo, everyone knows that His heart has always been with Real Madrid.
Saf is always refered to as the man who can tame any Egotistic player that he wants on his squad.
Wenger got tested with only one player and gave up so easily! (Lass Diarra). Rememeber him? What a loss!!!

"Foreign players" have always given him a big headache. Wenger on the other hand is no better but he also has his way with French players....Lassana Diarra was signed from Chelsea but he was not an important player for Arsenal because we had Flamini then. He was a bench warmer and actually left after only 5 months....for Portsmouth.

No no Taz, Lass was sold because he insisted on playing all games or else... He kept on telling Wenger and anybody who could listen that He was the best midfield player that Arsenal have. wenger asked Him to be patient and learn from The treatment the Beckham got at real but Lass would have none of that, so he had to be sold like you said after only 5 Months. This goes to show Wenger cannot handle pressure from his own players unlike SAf.

C & P
On 31 August 2007, transfer deadline day, Diarra signed for Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.[5] He was given the number 8 shirt, vacated by the departure of winger Freddie Ljungberg. On his move across London, he cited Gunners manager Arsène Wenger as one of the main reasons for joining the club, along with the style of football played by Arsenal. Wenger had called the young Frenchman a "multi-functional player", and a good addition to the squad.[6]
Diarra made his Arsenal debut as a late substitute in the home leg of the 2007–08 Champions League group stage match against Sevilla, and his full debut against Newcastle United in the third round of the League Cup. Diarra started his first Premier League match for Arsenal against Aston Villa.
With the emergence of defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini in the Arsenal side, Diarra saw only limited action in the early months of the season. Having expressed concerns that he was not playing enough first team football,[7] Diarra signed for Portsmouth in January 2008 after only 5 months at Arsenal for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £5.5 million
