As expected, the deputy speaker rules that parliament cannot pass such a motion without contravening the constitution. It is therefore inadmissible and will not be further debated. Serves these characters right - they thought they could wish away ICC through their usual shenanigans.

We make life very easy for politicians in Kenya. In the west, if you pulled such a stunt or any other move deemed to be against 'the people' then you can kiss your political career goodbye. Have you seen the kind of stuff that makes politicians resign or be hounded out of office in the west? In Kenya, a politician doesn't even need to think before saying or doing anything. We forget too soon, forgive too fast and sell out too cheaply!!!

Ama watasema the Deputy Speaker is the real person behind Ocampo.

Pulling out of ICC would be a useless move.It makes no sense to pull out of such an important treaty. Not that I believe that The ICC process will solve our ethnic violence issues...NO.The murderers, rapists and arsonists are still out there. They have done it so many times and would do it again. But it's a good start coz it instills fear in financiers and inciters of violence

Imagine this bunch are ready to pull a whole country out of the ICC to suit their needs. Surely should we ever vote for these retards again?

@Kulahappy, our mode of politics, structural deficiencies in governance systems is what ails us. This is what the new constitution seeks to correct. For example, when parliament becomes a place for primitive accumulation then any retard with a BIG mouth, money, and unruly gangs beats the good guy with BIG ideas!

As long as activists convince us that even mentally retarded persons deserve to vote and we agree, we will forever live with the consequences. Every sensible person sees and feels the embarrassment of the circus surrounding the Ocampo 6, surely this is one of our lowest of low.

What I really love about this is that these guys think they are so clever they easily outmanoeuvre themselves. They put themselves in the s**t hole in the first place, and it seems the only way out is to dig themselves into another s**t hole. Welcome into the world of the new Kenya. I have grabbed some popcorn coz the show is truly on.

Someone tell PLO to ruin someone else's Christmas by charging them in court over graft, and my 2010 will truly end in style...
