I attended the Laugh Festival On Sunday at the KICC and it was a total waste of time and money!!!

Churchill had the nerve to repeat his jokes from Churchill Live and Classic FM morning show. He repeated even the jokes on last week's shows [both TV and Radio]. I was like wtf??? Does this guy think the audience have no radios and TVs? Does he think this 'Festival' is somewhere in the north pole [Where people haven't heard his jokes]? To be honest with you, he didn't have even a single new joke!!!

And as if that was not enough 90% of his 'comedians' repeated all their jokes from past Churchill live shows. I was with my nephew [primary school kid] who was completing most of their jokes even before they were halfway. The others like Makoha and Oyoo [Who won the pick up in Top Comic] were not even remotely funny! I had taken my nephew to last years show and he was thoroughly entertained. He couldn't wait for this years show! Guess what he told me at the end of the show. "Thank you uncle, but maybe we should stop attending this Laugh Festivals. They are not even funny!". For sure that's the last Laugh Festival I will ever attend.

Something that takes place once a year, you are charging people a cool 2,000/= [Or 1,000/=] for a three hour show and you don't even have the decency to prepare yourself. Absolutely Bure Kabisa. And the next minute they will be shouting at the top of their voices that Kenyans are not willing to support their own!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I too complete all his jokes, I happened to attend a cocktail where he was the MC, and honestly I think he needs to up his game, to remain relevant.

Churchill is now officially stale jokes guy. Even his plays have become damn boring and repetitve. How can you survive on tribal jokes only! ABK!

hahahahaha......making pple laugh is hard work.I think the laugh festival was a recap of Churchil live....so if the show has been boring obviously yu wont expect the laugh festival to be any better.I think being an MC and a full time radio presenter makes him more predictable I think he should choose one be a presenter or a comedian.

...I think it is a question of how organised one is. I think David Letterman has four shows in a week...and he never bores. The problem with our guys is that they do everything by themselves. Professional comedians in other places have people who write material for them. Churchill saa yote ni mbwa na wakamba na wakikuyu na wajaluo...so boring...
....and by the way if you have noticed sometimes Churchill forgets to complete the joke...even though we still laugh and that is because we are able to complete it ourselves. People like David Letterman have a screen in which they refer. Sometimes pieces of paper held by somebody in kacorner...Our comedians could copy that...
