We have no problem with playing our part to make our roads safer. What we have a problem with is being taken advantage of! You cannot stop me on a potholed section full of corners and diversions [where I can't even do 70kph] and tell me I was doing 110kph + and you don't even have any readings or a gadget for that matter to prove your allegations!
This is not about road safety. It's about extortion. Take Parklands Police for example. They have two main cash cows - The exit from Westlands road to museum hill round about and the junction next to MP Shah hospital. In both cases there are 'suspect' signs that are not even clearly visible. The museum hill one is a no exit sign and the MP Shah one is a no right turn. I say 'suspect' because under normal circumstances, the exit and the right turn would be okay [as per the other roads] only in that in those two spots you have [not clearly visible] signs saying don't. The best part is you will never see a policeman till you exit or make the right turn. They then pop up! If they wanted to avoid accidents, they should make sure the signs are visible or stop you before you make the offending exit/right turn!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
