With too much bias on the center constituency on Wazua...I wish to start this corner to bring the lost sheep....to fold...

Lord, I thank you for the many times you gave me help,
always listening when I called.

In my darkest moments,
when all seemed to be lost,
there you were, at my side.

The Lord always listens and has pity;
the Lord always comes to our help.

Our mourning you change into dancing;
you always clothe us with joy. Psalm 30

There is cause for rejoicing here. You may for a time have to suffer the distress of many trials; but this is so that your faith, which is more precious than the passing splendor of fire-tried gold, may by its genuineness lead to praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ appears. Although you have never seen him, you love him, and without seeing you now believe in him, and rejoice with inexpressible joy touched with glory you are achieving faith's goal, your salvation. 1 Peter 1:6-9

Malachi 4:2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.

There is this verse that talks about wives being submissive to their husbands and what not. It goes further and mentions husbands loving their wives bla bla bla. (1 Peter 3:7)

I often did not notice the last part of that sentence that says '...so that your prayers are not hindered.'

We can pray as much as we want like the theatrical tv preachers and their followers but if we dont respect our wives, our prayers are not heard. If only we follow instructions....

Think about it. Simple. Yet difficult.

I call upon you, O Lord.
In the morning you hear me;
in the morning I offer you my prayer, watching and waiting. . .Psalm 5

I lift my heart to you, O Lord,
to be strengthened for this day.
Be with me in all I do, my God;
guide me in all my ways.

I will carry some burdens today;
some trials will be mine.
So I wait for your help, Lord,
lest I stumble and fall.

I will do my work, Father,
the work begun by your Son.
He lives in me and I in him;
may his work today be done.

Glory to the Father. . .

Reading

Do to no one what you yourself dislike.
Give to the hungry some of your bread,
and to the naked some of your clothing.
Seek counsel from every wise person.
At all times bless the Lord God,
and ask God to make all your paths straight
and to grant success to all your endeavors and plans.
Tobit 4:15a, 16a, 18a, 19

Intercessions

God of all kindness, bless your church,
--make your people faithful to you.
Eternal Shepherd, look kindly on our Holy Father and all bishops,
--grant them wisdom and courage.
Ruler of Nations, look kindly on those who govern;
--guide them in the ways of peace.
Judge of the living and the dead,
be merciful to our deceased brothers and sisters;
--receive them into eternal joy.

Lord, remember your church throughout the world,
--that your people may dwell in peace.
Lord, remember those we have met today,
--that they may receive your gifts.
Lord, remember all families,
--that they may live in harmony.
Lord, remember the sick and the dying,
--that they may have your joy.

Psalm 14

The Fool Says, There Is No God
To the choirmaster. Of David.

14:1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds,
there is none who does good.

2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand, [1]
who seek after God.

3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.

4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers
who eat up my people as they eat bread
and do not call upon the Lord?

5 There they are in great terror,
for God is with the generation of the righteous.
6 You would shame the plans of the poor,
but [2] the Lord is his refuge.

7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord restores the fortunes of his people,
let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31, NIV).

Did you know that an eagle knows when the storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.
When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us—and we all experience them- we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief in Jesus, our God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them that matters.Blessed week people!
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19
