Had a heated exchange with one cop without any common sense why doing 95kph on a highway in a personal aint breaking any traffic law. just ended up wasting thirty minutes of my time!!!the vultures are strategically placed just after the naivasha junction...very money hungry.anyone with such info please share so that these morons dont get a dime on the road this long weekend. Drive carefully folks.

These cops like hustling people from Nairobi thinking we are some sort of weaklings! There was a time I was going to Shagz and a cop stopped me claiming I was over speeding - I was doing below 80 coz it's not a place you can even over speed though it's a highway. I told him he either has to show me his readings of my speed or show me ANY car that was doing above 110 kph in that stretch. I even told him to show me the device he was using to take readings. Ati the fellow was using macho-meter!!! Sensing that he was cornered he started checking everything - Tyres, Insurance, Driving License etc. Everything was in order. After thinking for a few seconds he asked me "Wapi life saver?". Too bad for him I had them!!! His last comment left me surprised. "Hauwezi wachia ofisaa pesa ya lunch? Hata kama ni 50/= ya soda - unaona hii jua?". WTF!!! He didn't get even a shilling from me!

Chunga hawa ma vultures. And don't be soft on them. As @The Phantom has suggested, if you meet any on the roads, put all the details here. You don't know who all this 'guests' are. Someone might just take action!

We got caught by those vultures at Malili yesterday, so irritating, how can one be doing 110 kph behind a truck?

...That kastretch is very tempting. You could be doing 150 Kmh when you are not aware. Check the speedometer every now and then. Those ones at Malili have genuine gadgets...If you comply with the speed limits they have no problem...

After Blue Post Thika, shikaring the highway nicely on your way to Nyeri or Murang'a ...just as the car is picking up some serious speed due to the levelling and smoothness of the road, out and onto the road steps a portly jamaa waving a black device. Only kshs 2,000 and above will save your ass ....

There is that overlap.co.ke thing for traffic. We need one for mapping the vultures whenever they ask for bribes.

Caught at Salama after Malili on sunday. No qualms. I told the cop that I was overspeeding with a very big smile and that I was guilty even before he could say a thing. The section is like a speed trap going down towards Mombasa. They have two cars. One like Njunge (Pijuti) for the boss and one 2.5 litre Xtrail much further down the road. Never try to get away.
