And what about the talk of NEXT SEASON?????? Well, that will begin 13th Dec 11.45 pm or thereabouts

I think Arsenal fans are the most loyal fans I've ever met...we've not won a trophy for 5 years but the fan base keeps growing. I don't think the Man Utd/Arsenal game will decide who wins the title regardless of who gets the three points. Both teams have been dropping unnecessary points against the so called "small teams". Arsenal have ALWAYS challenged for the title until the last 2-3 games.

Taz - well spoken. we are so loyal attimes it hurts.

Man Utd are yet to play and win against Blackpool(which will probably be played mid-Jan) so stop talking as if you already have the three points.

As I said, let's forget Man - U's game for a moment. We are talking about Monday 13th. New year will be a very nice time for Man - U. Why? They will be at the top of the table with a game at hand!!! You can dig up this post early January. Better yet, bookmark it!!!

@Apple Bees - I have also noted the same!!! Arsenal fans always walk with their jackets on the ready! One minute you are in an establishment full of Arsenal fans in Team jerseys, the next you are in an establishment full of fully grown men in jackets and it is 35 degrees. And you are still in the same place and you didn't see anyone leaving or coming in!

Arsenal are very dangerous when they seem weakest. They also really disappoint when they seem strong. Am thinking this game might just surprise most people

Trust Evra to spice up these big contests!!!
Arsenal head into this weekend's fixtures on top of the Premier League having assumed control last weekend with victory over Fulham, as United's game at Blackpool was postponed due to the weather.

Yet despite the Gunners' lofty position, Evra is convinced Arsene Wenger is too preoccupied with playing attractive football to end the club's five-year wait for a trophy.

He told Canal+ television: "For me, Arsenal is a football training centre. You watch the match, you enjoy it, but are you going to win a title afterwards? That's what people remember.

"It has been five years since they won anything and for a big club like Arsenal, that is a crisis."

Victory for Arsenal on Monday would take the Gunners four points clear of United and assure them top spot for another week, regardless of how third-placed Chelsea fare at Tottenham on Sunday.

But Evra remains unconcerned by any threat Arsenal may pose, instead highlighting that the most important result of this weekend could be the one at White Hart Lane.

He said: "We can lose against them on the 13th (Monday), but at the end of the day, what is there (for Arsenal)? There is nothing. There are no trophies, there is nothing.

"Our real enemy is Chelsea. We are more concerned with Chelsea's results than those of Arsenal, even if we know Arsenal are a great team who can beat Chelsea, us (United) or anyone."

Evra at least acknowledged that Wenger's tactics more often than not make for entertaining games, and the France international fully expects another one in Manchester on Monday night.

"When we play against Arsenal, it is really fun," he said. "They are a team that plays football who will not come to Old Trafford with 11 men behind the ball.

"We also play football, but the difference is that we also have strength.
"Sometimes, they cannot kill off matches. We are more efficient."

It is not the first time Evra has hit out at Arsenal's style of play or lack of silverware.

Following United's 3-1 Champions League semi-final win at the Emirates in 2009, he claimed that the game was akin to "11 men against 11 boys".

The next 3 weeks will probably define the season but again we have blown (chelsea) a five point lead, so it's not over not by a long-short.

I see us struggling against Spurs but we will not be defeated by Man U or Arsenal am almost 100% sure of this, wapi hii maichblack, am ready to put in a wager?? Man U's midfield is in shambles and like i said before here Berba is a 1 trick pony (just not reliable) and against a fast running midfield (Arsenal) i am sure they will struggle. Nani has resumed his hot/cold season, the only players they have are: Rooney, Vidic and Van Der Sar. Rio is struggling how i hope they put Smalling or worse J. Evans Laughing out loudly..

The game between Arsenal V Man U will be interesting, high scoring game, don't expect either to keep a clean sheet, most recently Arsenal have been dissapointing when it has come to doing us any favours against Man U but this particular one looks different, let's hope that's all i can say. If Man U do not win the league this year, it will take a while to win again Van der sar is leaving at the end of the season and truth be told he has been the difference in many a game!!

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

I will be more interested in the performance of the young Polish keeper (Szczesny) more than anything else now that Wenger has taken the gauntlet.....and here is the brave 1.95M stopper;

“If you are fighting for trophies, you should pick your best players, not your oldest.

“I am not interested in being the number-three keeper, only the number one. But no-one at Arsenal is brave enough to let me play.”
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I see a low scoring thriller 2-1 to Man U.
