Anyway Arsenal is on top and have won more matches than all teams in the league I believe they can get a win at Ol'-T, the least a draw. This Dec will be interesting. Early days though.

@2012, I remember a team going by the name Invincibles were on a roll during 04/05 season. Their next target was to hit the 50-game epl unbeaten run. Their next stop was the football capital of england. They never reached number 50 and no sooner had...than the wheels came off. The trauma they faced still haunts them to this day. 6 years on. If you get a win or a draw, count yourself lucky. If you get beaten, pray it wont be a thrashing. Do you remember some 6-1 kichapo cha mbwa? This is United.

Our unbeaten run was ended in a controversial manner at Old trafford. Anyway thats a record thats not about to be broken by any team. I'm more worried of the Chelsea game than Man Utd...they are more physical than Arsenal and they'll have Lampard back.

First, let me give credit where it's due. Arsenal won the 2003/04 league without loosing a game. That's really something. Credit to them.

Having said that, the season was not 'invisible' as gooners and sympathizers like to call it. The gooners actually lost games in other competitions they participating in. They were dumped out of the F.A. Cup [By Man - U] and Champions League [By Chelsea]!!! It was not an 'invisible' season. It was an invisible EPL - In which they were still unable to break the record of most points in a season which at the time was held by Man - U [91 points].

@TAZ - Back to school. The record of the longest run without defeat in all competitions in the whole of Europe is held by....... drums please...... Manchester United!!! They also hold the record of the longest undefeated run in the F.A. cup and Champions League but let's not even discuss that for now! We might get issues mixed up. LOL.

Dwight Yorke!!! In two minutes!!! After a pass from who? Who else but Paul Scholes!!! Dwight Yorke got his hat trick in 20 minutes flat!! What a hapless Arsenal! Man - U were 5 - 1 up in under 40 minutes!!! Memories, memories!!! Arsenal were lucky to concede only one more goal in the second half. It was a lucky escape. It was almost becoming a circus!

@2012 Whaaaat!!!! Are you high? Arsenal win where? How? Who? What?? Wanna bet? Put your money where your mouth is. I see this game ending very badly for Arsenal. Two goal difference minimum - That is if Man U doesn't hit top form. If they do, you guys are finished. Kichapo Cha Mbwa!!!

@WAZUA - Can you come up with a betting system - technology iko. I choose who to bet with, we both M-Pesa you the money and make our predictions. After the game, you M-Pesa the winner his/her money and you keep a percentage. This might go a long way kupunguza domo domo.

it was the best birthday gift for me courtesy of a one Grimandi. Arsenal's fans had started streaming out of Old Trafford as early as the 35th minute. No need to stress the fact that nearly 10years later the Ginger Prince Scholes is still going strong.

Jus Blazin..................Besides Gilles Grimandi, there was another defender who was as strong as wet tissue paper, his name was Stepanovs. The latter was the highway on which Dwight Yorke was going through.

I refuse to be drawn into this arguements on historical facts however true or false they are. What i'm sure of is that we can and will beat man utd next monday and it will not be the first time to do so. Nasri is in superb form and he has previously scored several against Man Utd. I used to fear such encounters when CR was around!

@Taz,
My only worry is the Arsenal's back line.Wenger fields the back four on a line formation.The Weak part about this formation is that when one defender is beaten,the remaining three do not know how or what to cover.Squillaci's collision and the subsequent goal is a good example.Matters are not helped by Flapianski.I still do not trust him and i would be more at home with the younger Tomasz.....

All said and done,the pole position gives Gunners an edge and the sorry pensioners will be thrashed in their backyard.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
