I dont think you guys should complain, you all know why Gakuo was removed and Kisia installed. PARTY POLITICS. They needed their own. And nobody cares whether he works or not. I talked with a person working at the city hall cash office and what i heard i almost shed my tears. Everyday a briefcase leaves the office via backdoor full of legal papers.

@freiks: Legal papers of what nature? Currency notes? Title deeds? What?

Any way; I also talked to a senior engineer at the council and I asked him how Kisia compares to Gakuo. The engineer said that Gakuo cared much about results, so every department struggled to produce results. Kisia on the other hand is more concerned about procedures, so every one has been tied down by procedures and processes to the point where nothing gets done!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Enterprise rd in industrial area ha been abandoned without completion of works such as the likoni rd roundabout, road drains, street lighting etc. The contractor H Young has vanished from siteShame on you

The City council of nairobi needs to explain how come the money for the road ran-out without completion...it does not make sense to concentrate on bypasses yet important roads like this one are not done well.Sad

He was rightfully removed when his term ended. They however bungled it on the replacement. There are several Kenyans who could have competently run the city just like Gakuo.

Would it be true to say this man has simply maintained... and that only applies to 'REAL CBD'and affiliate areas?
'River road CBD' and environs dont know what city council is...

but honestly, i havent seen the improvements that should come with a change in guard...

Guys, someone needs to direct Kisia to this site so that he may see our ratings and our concerns, probably he will reflect on his performance and try to do something. There should also be a public forum for evaluating the performance of some of these guys.

Mudavadi put one of his kinsmen to run the City Council at our expense.

Philip's high point was that he had attended Harvard at some point during his college education. Fine enough and I'm sure that he has always meant good for the Nairobians. What isn't taught at Harvard is concrete jungle tactics and skills similar how the late General Mwenje conducted himself. Philip: Ukubwa ni mali na malice. Get on the job.

@Mukiha...The legal papers is what can be found in a city council cash office. MONEY, MBECA.
Kisia must prove himself. Even during Gakuos tenure it used to happen but he had ways of making people feel he is working

@timska, When did Kisia attend Harvard? unless you are talking of seminars conducted in the summer while school waits to open for the fall term similar to that attended by Najibu Balala. This guy after Utalii college went on to work for Sarova Hotels, most likely the stanley. He therefore has no distinction worth talking about.

Kisia needs to pull up his socks.you only need to look at the tunnels at Globe roundabout to see how low we have gone. They used to be cleaned daily.Today nobody cares.

I saw Kisia being interviewed on why parking fees were being hiked. His reasoning - in London parking fees are 2 or 3 pounds an hour - does this guy know which part of the world Nairobi is located?. He was then asked about motorists complaint about lack of security despite increased parking fees - he said the police are responsible and the City Council can't do anything about it.
This guy is overrated.

Read somewhere that the city council is planning to introduce smart cards to help know who is working and what time they are working. My big question is how do you monitor the parking attendants and those kanjoras who walk around in the markets?Absolutely vison less ploy jst another scam to misuse our tax.
They should cocentrate on providing us with the resources we need like running tap water daily.

It's time positions like this were awarded purely based on performance. It's like choosing our Olympics team based on who knows who and we end up with fat runners when kina Rudisha should be repping. Sure recipe for failure.
