Av heard it said (bt dont mention my name)that KPLC does not read meters anymore. What they do is to employ statisticians who compute ua monthly bill based on ua previous consumptions.
Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

On a serious note, i have paying bills ranging 600 from June only to learn they were estimates. when the actual reading were done, it set me back a cool 6K. I just paid coz i don't want to be disconnected over Christmas.

Same case has happened to me over the last 2 months. According to the bills my consumption is zero units. Just the standing charge and the levies on top like Vat, etc. To be safe, however, i've paying them the amount I pay normally. When they realise i wont have to pay big.

VERY TRUE. IT IS A WAY OF RAISING REVENUE FOR THE CANDELS COMPANY SINCE THE UNIT CHARGE GOES UP AS CONSUMPTION INCREASES PER BILLING PERIOD. JUST TAKE THE ACTUAL READING TO THEM AND ASK FOR CORRECT BILL, THEN Py up
I care!
