>> @mtu Biz, My answer borders on simplicity....interment of dead bodies traditionally comprised throwing them in the bush, where the person would continue living happily as bushes. if a dead body is thrown in a river and is eaten by fish, and the fish ends up on our table, is it right to say that person is living through us as nutrients? Organically a person doesn't die, just change in matter. Why do people insist on planting flowers on graves? maybe to let the person continue living.

Spiritually, there is a God....who is associated with Light, the life giver. Maybe its right to say that SUN is supreme, for without it life would stop...it pisses me off when someone tells me to keep open mind, but Re-read the post with an OPEN MIND.

haiya! Kuna people who believe we came from the primodial soup!!! The very fact im alive proves there is a supreme intelligence and evil proves there is an antagonist...whichever way we are pulled,we become like...I believe in God...honestly if you dont it means you declare all history as false...then we can say ther were no such men as alexander the great, julius ceasre, plato, isaac newton(all his discoveries of the law of gravity, motion were all fabrications)etc...that everything that we havent witnessed in our lifetimes cant be truth....oh if i could only prove i actually dont exist!

So sheep, what informs this view ?

Why do people skirt around this topic? Are the answers religion offers truly satisfactory or are they escapist just as people appear to avoid the questions here and take up the easiest route. To Quote Brav:

Can what if's form the basis of belief, i think so.

So in your view, what ifs do form the basis for your belief ama unasemaje??

I do not practice any religion, but i do not condemn or chastise those that do. From what i can see, we have no concrete proof of anything, and one is left to judge and decide for themselves, and believe in what they are led to believe. I just don't believe in any religion and most of religions claims, it does not mean i don't believe in "something more" to our existence.

@ much know.

'Something more' is pretty ambiguous... so what do YOU think will happen when you and i eventually die?

Last time i checked, human mortality is still steady at 100%.

That being the case, what do YOU think or suppose happens after we die?

What informs your view above?

Short answers please. Asanta.

When you die you are DEAD. You cease to exist. It is that simple. Make peace with this fact.
