they have deposits from customers. Plus there is no alternative to electricity and no alternative to kplc, so those customers will pay their bills and get re-connected. Life is short. Live passionately.

Where is the chap who wanted to con us to sell our shares? The Rights are trading at 4/- but HUGE demand at 2/- thus making the effective price 21.50... Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

I believe every KPLC shareholder should ready this article and go back to the financial statements of the company for another homework.
Anyway lets see what will happen with this counter by the end of this week. You had already told them to sell. Why do you want them to do their homework on the counter now? I thought that the homework should have come before, not after. BTW, I note that you are not using CAPS on this post and it is a lot less belligerent. Hope you keep it up.

It looks like KPLC rights traded in a range from 4.00 to 4.50 (as per NellyData) which for some reason is not showing the actual number of rights traded.
I think the premium on the rights was on the higher side, so I would expect to come down. Most of the demand was in the 1/= to 2/= range. My expectation is that the average premium on the rights will therefore be between 2/= to 3/=. What do others think?

>> As Mutahi Ngunyi would say, YBC gets an A for Effort and guts, and D for performance. an A because he did it Ruto style and a D because he is mutating to a Kalonzo.... @ YBC, don't go back to your hide out, or change to some funny username like PUTHY brace it .

I'm with YBC on KPLC. Instead of buying at 25 (like some 1 this morning), i'd rather apply for extra rights at 19.50, chances are the rights issue wont be oversubscribed so full allocation for everyone.
What would you do if you had 340 million rights to sell. I would buy 1 million KPLC shares at 25 (spend 25 M), thus pushing up the price of my rights to over 5 bob each (get 1.7 B).

@YBC And this is not kindergarten where you will just shout 'SALE' and i call my broker. Facts rule here my brother and not the pitch of your shout. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

Guys whats your take on this. Lets say if i have 10000 KPLC shares now and sell them at 25 bob now and then wait for january when rights shares start trading and use the cash to buy the shares then at lets say 20-21 bob effectively increasing the shares that i have to 11900. is that a good idea albeit being risky?
