why French now?
Think of the growing chinese influence and the superpower status China is gradually acquiring, the large volumes of trade China is engaged in all over the world and learn Chinese! (I think its called mandarin?). Already there is growing demand for translators in trade, negotiations, diplomacy,etc and- this will increase with time in the next 10yrs. This area remains largely untapped. Think about it...
BTW, English has 26 letters of the alphabet, I hear Chinese has >1,000letters - good luck!

There's a douche from AF charging KES 2600/hr ... note that some estimates range from 18 - 25hrs to cover a typical beginner's course, depending on the individual & assuming you have some background on the same. The only french I know is omelette, croissant & Menage a trois.

There's another chap from Burundi with supposedly 15yrs teaching (French) experience, Bachelors & Masters Degrees in French, teaching materials including CD's & DVD's and a partridge in a pear tree.

He's charging USD 17/hr o.n.o with a 1hr trial session.
