I'm tired of my old HP-6730 series and want an upgrade to kitu sawa but affordable.
I know Apple's Mac-book is top notch, but wanted something just below the Mac-book.

Price tag = 40K to 50K local currency

you can get good HP G60 series Pavilion models for 50k or below. Good stuff and affordable too. Specs can be 3gb ram, 320gb hdd, win7 premium 64-bit, wi-fi, intel pentium duo core processor 2.2ghz and above, webcam, card reader. only thing is they dont have bluetooth. ziko kwa computer shops in town kwa wingi. you can try the shop at emperor plaza ground floor just next to mandy's restaurant.

at ~45k i can direct you to where you can get a 2009/2010 dell or HP laptop.
specs range between:
250-320GB HDD
core 2 duo @ 2.0-2.4Ghz
2gb-4gb ram
wifi/bluetooth
dvd writer
etc(various ports na kadhalika)

I've given an approximation coz prices vary depending on basically what you want in your laptop so you might end up paying less.Personally I was lucky,I got a dell inspiron 1564 and saved almost 20k off the retail price at most electronic shops(yes a core i3 machine at a budget not exceeding 50k...again sheer luck)..if interested mail me IMer254[at]live(.)com
