"The most powerful force in business isn't greed, fear, or even the raw energy of unbridled competition. The most powerful force in business is love. It's what will help your company grow and become stronger. It's what will propel your career forward. It's what will give you a sense of meaning and satisfaction in your work, which will help you do your best work."

These are the assertions of Tim Sanders in his book: "Love Is The Killer App".

So how do you make Love work for you in business?
The answer is by:

1: Learning and sharing your knowledge
2: Growing and sharing your network
3: Showing compassion

Tim Sanders recommends reading a lot of books, and sharing that knowledge for free.

Same thing for sharing networks. If you know two people who might benefit from knowing each other bring them together and get out of the way. Again without any expectation of reward or benefit.

As for showing compassion in business, this means showing people that you like them. Words, gestures, appreciation or even hugs – whatever you deem appropriate.

So how does showing this Love help you grow in business?

By becoming a knowledge guru, sharing your network, and being a compassionate partner, you'll:

1.build an outstanding brand
2.create an experience
3.get access to people's attention
4.harness the power of positive presumption.
5.receive exceptional feedback

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT,EXCELLENT,EXCELLENT!!!

Yap in the past, this was my calling - I just believed if we read together we'd put some fire up our slacking reading behinds. Glad to see @redondo carry the flame.

So I picked up the novel and want to share anecdote from Introduction:

Chris had worked with me for only a few weeks when I invited him to join a roundtable meeting with several outside consultants. He sat through the two-hour presentation stony-faced and silent until asked by the lead consultant if he had any comments. Then he nodded impatiently.

"This has been totally bush-league," he said. "I can’t believe that we actually pay you to do this."

He went on to point out many serious flaws in the consultants’ research, but he wasn’t watching carefully enough to see the color drain form the consultants’ faces. By the time they’d slunk out of the room, Chris had embarrassed me and everyone else present. He didn’t quite figure this out until the next month’s meeting, to which he pointedly wasn’t invited.

Had Chris been smarter and nicer, he would have made his excellent points and become a hero for it. Poor Chris. He was armed to the teeth, well-educated and wired for decision speed. But he was completely misdirected about how to use his many talents because he was also wired for war – always hostile, always battle-ready. He believed that success in business meant that you crush the weak. You always win. You disdain people who aren’t as smart as you. You protect everything you know – and everyone you know – lest your weapons fall into enemy hands.
