Hi, guys!

My VW Golf GTi MK3 and recently it has been misbehaving.

First is revs up and down when idle n then shakes due to miss fire. When it shakes it smokes like unserviced diesel car.

My mech adviced me to do service which had just been done a month ago. I reluctantly did and the car behaved for a week only to have the same problem.

I have tried diagnosing the ecu but all is okay. I was then told that the fuel pump is faulty and i bought a new one just to have nothing change.

Now after consulting two other CMC mechanics, the all told me what my usual mech told me.

My question is?

Is anyone out there ever had a similar problem?
What do you guys think the solution is?
