Kenyans electral behaviours have remained consistent over a long time now. Any mpig can form a party and if he is a popular mpig he will curve a sufficiently large nike of the votes for himself.

RAO on his own cannot make it to the presidency. that is for sure and afterall he has tried in the past and failed miserably. My point, he will need someone else with numbers.

As for ODM and UDM...UDM is purely a spoiler for ODM.

Now I getyou! But it aint far fetched that RAO will again say 'xyz tosha' it's not beneath him if circumstances dictate

@ sihingwa,

looks like RAO will always be a so-and-so tosha fellow. There is no way he would yell this while vieing for the bigger post.

Ruto said RAO tosha in 2007 and all that has changed now. Who will say RAO tosha this time round?

Precisely!
And now the circustances are already dictating.
Options are thining out!

Saying that he wont get 0 vote in the rift is ..... well!
We are talking of a chunk of votes that can tilt the scales in his favour, not 'some' votes.

All said and done, Ocampo's hand is dangling all over his head too!

@ TAZ, It will be a tough 2012...yes I acknowledge, there will be a round 2 (question is vs whom ?) It is not me dreaming / imagining that RAO will pick votes from other areas (including RV). The nature of my job calls for roaming all over Kenya. From what I pick on the ground...RAO will not get 0% in North RV

The next president come 2012 will need 25% in at least 24 counties...RAO doesn't necessarily have to get RV votes. I'm sure he had that in mind when he disowned WR...

Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

The fact of the matter is that RAO will never be the president of this country. My prediction is that he is headed for political oblivion after 2012. Statistics have it that he is mainly depending on Luo Nyaza, Luhya (minus Bukhusu), NE and Coast. Without the support of RV, Central and Eastern, he is not going anywhere. He has two options to toy with:- (i) Try his luck at State House and be prepared to become irrelevant after his failure, (ii) Sponsor Idah for Lang'ata seat, as a back-up and ask her to step down kikiumana!
The thought that kkys would support him is misplaced. The same group got sidelined or marginalized during and after the 2005 referendum kwa sababu yake.

Why is there the asumption that whoever leads in the first round wins? Mtashangaa with the realignment.
