I'l keep this short and clear. What is the best or more preferable stoke brokerage firm locally?
@Wazua can you generate a poll for that, also asking users why they think so?

Just type in "best broker" in the Google search box at the very top, above the time and you should dig up...

Dont change your stock broker, doctor, accountant, auditor, insurance broker, advocate etc now & then. If you deal with your stock broker for many years then they will give you good service like reduce your commission, buy share & then you pay etc...oherwise grass is always green at otherside.

Your statement is too general..some brokers are crap...also look at the no of brokers that that have collapsed in the past 2 years...my advice go to brokers owned by banks

I will never advice go to brokers owned by banks as bank will never accept order without payment. sometimes there is golden chance to get in or get out from some sector. private broker will accept your request on telephone & then you send them by email. There are many reputable brokers. choose one of them.

Aiisssh @Kirti, if you want to make orders without payment, you should also understand if broker wants to borrow your money a bit...

Brokers affiliated to banks won't take your order without payment, but neither will they generally use your money without your consent. Can you discount them on this basis?

I'm ok with GengHis Capital. Left D&B after they closed online and they appear not to be in a hurry to reinstate!

ok, am with Drummond and Genghis Capital. No complaints from either. Been with the former for about 9 years, and the latter for less than a year. One thing is for sure though: we will discuss this topic again in near future!

APPLEBEES:Don't count your chicks before they hatch!I"m with Drummond and Dyer and Blair.Myself and several other clients of Drummond lost money there several years ago.Some employees would steal client's cheques for refund and have them cashed.I can't buy anything through them.They also engaged in "teeming and ladin". My advise is Brokers associated with banks are better.That's where I'm going.

CFCFS. Earlier with D&B but their services started going downstream and had to leave.

@All

If you lost money with the downfall of Nyaga Stockbrokers, note, they are now issuing cheques to mitigate a little of the losses you incurred. However, if you lost less than 50,000, you will get a cheque for all lost.

So, run to their offices at Nation Centre if you had an issue with them.

@Rogersha82

I usually use three agents (an investment bank, a broker and a bank backed broker). However, you need to have enough money to split among the three.

Every year, I get out of the least performing broker or one with a trading office that has compromised personnel and get into another one.

Currently, am heading to CFC Financial Services although I know they have issues. I need to get into their core personnel so that I can be able to pull strings here and there when I need to.

You have to be smarter than the brokers as they tend to be very thick, think they know better than you and fail to understand they survive (even buying their trousers) on the commission they get from you.

So, lets meet at CFC FS.
