these guys caused havoc in the CBD in the early hours of jana morning, thank God they never won. they would have forced serikal to declare today a public holiday

Just out of curiosity, which team in any league has ever lost the last game of the season when they needed to win to take the title? That is really one of the worst statistic to have!

Juventus [then managed by Carlo] in the 1999/2000 season.

And just how did the trophy physically make its way to Afraha given it could have gone either way

@Intell the KPL officials decided to have two trophies one at city and another at afraha because they said they coulnd't afford to hire a chopper.
The league was a good fight and we congratulate Ulinzi as champions.
With the right kind of management our game will be up but until people like kasuve stop haggling over the management of our national team we will never go far.
At least two players are going abroad which is good for their development in the game we wish them all the best.
Next season let's fill all the stadium's and show support to our local boys.

Not entirely true. The KPL trophy was at Afraha stadium. What was at city stadium was a mere replica trophy.

Had Gor won the league, they would have lifted the replica one on sato and then the actual trophy would have been presented to them on sunday.

Thanks for the correction but i believe the games were all played on sunday so if Gor were to lift it on sato does it mean there was no need of playing the last match then

Guys....the KPL trophy is not as valuable as the EPL or World cup trophies. I think they just ordered another one (same features) from Nairobi Sports House or whoever their supplier is.

"Our supplier has assured us there is a similar trophy which will have past winners engraved on it. So the question of a replica should not arise," Okoth said.

by the way how much is the KPL worth? just hiring a chopper to be stand by for one hour. or even buy a chopper for such future events.
