This is not the first lousy ad by HELB. There's another one that was so lousy,I thought it was a Tanzanian ad. The one where a mama is watching her son graduate on TV or sthing like that. Yaani it's like they work hard to produce the worst possible ads

The HELB ad was probably produced by the producers of KTN's the presenter - they are equally bad. Kasheshi, maybe if you pay back your loan they may be able to afford a better agency to do their ads.

On the Safaricom,me think they are subtly trying to implant something in our minds - good things = safaricom. Imagine having to chose between buying either of this two dailies for your news ( Nation or the People,is the latter still there?).

Thot I was the only one who hated the HELB advert.

Any one here who likes the Kingsmill advert?

@mkenyan,i paid back my helb loan years ago so i think i have the right to demand better adverts. As for the Kingsmill ad,that boy should have been twangwad for being so disrespectful

@KenK 'By the way, before Safaricom, which other company made you realize the beauty of your country'.....

Tusker....as you drive down to olepolos for some beer and chome you catch the scenic rift valley,as you lie in the gutter intoxicated you appreciate the beautiful blue sky and friendly people laughing around you,as you drive into the city centre intoxicated and needing a 'fix' you appreciate the bright lights, empty streets and short skirts on k-street....as you order your tenth beer, you notice the beauty of wairiumu the bar maid and become undecided as to whether her 'beauty' rivals the 50 year hustler with chipped teeth sitting next to you .....as you stagger home at night, and trip on an ant hill, you lie there in the darkness and listen to the hyaena's giggling, the crickets chirping and watch the beautiful stars in the sky.......as you are driven the Naivasha maximum prison for vehicular manslaughter, you catch a sight of the Thompson's gazzels, baboons and the wide open plains, you yearn for freedom to roam you beautiful country freely, but alas, you are going to do time smile

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

It's too deadly. Safcom has lousy products but fabulous advertising. You have to give it to Redsky. I got suckered by Safcom's so-called 3G modem. I'm now very happy at AccessKenya. After watching the new ad,I never knew my country was so beautiful. I'll stop boozing in Nbi all the time and save up instead to enjoy a weekend out of town once in a while.

As for the HELB ad,cronyism must have been involved in the hiring of whoever did it. The daughter bit 'where, where are we?' completely pisses off my wife which is so amusing.

Then there's some bread ad (can't remember the brand) where some dude gives his date some bread with a birthday cake candle on it. What's all that about? The chic must have dumped him.

Other annoying ads are the Angola,Glo,and BankPHB ads on CNN. The Magical Kenya ad absolutely rocks.

I was listening to BBC the other day, they were reviewing Jacob Juma's presidential campaign and they played one of his campaign advert tunes. It WAS the Niko na Safaricom tune. Redsky, did you steal something from someone?

Watch this advert by Safaricom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIBHuqeis3U then watch this one done by
Qantas AIr (Australian national carrier) in the 1990s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze6D-59bLX0 . It is similar in every
sense. No creativity here. They spent Ksh 60M just to copy and paste.

It is humiliating to be associated with thieves and murderers.
