And i think this is where we go wrong with shares sometimes... sometimes we wait for too long to board the ship then start running when its on high seas, hire a speed boat to reach it, board it just in time for it to run out of fuel and start going back to the dock for refueling or sinking and the foreigners have already jumped ship and sped off...

HUH??/

If you're talking about KK its still well in its upward trend... The thing with the NSE as noted on wazua THERE ARE NO LONG TERM BUYERS because there always guys taking profits...

Anyway it still helps me pick up bargains like KK and DTBK smile

May be we lost each other in translation..... my point was, this is the best time to board, not later on when the prices are up and the foreigners are moving out... In any case, i am already in and i expect to add some more soon.

KK have paid up share capital is only 75m. They are sitting on more than 5b equity reserve. They are also expanding their business. They might give bonus or right issue by next year. This is the best time to board in this bus.

Do you mean they might do either or? And if so, how are the two related? Are these your predictions or facts?

BBI will solve it

There is no need for a Rights Issue unless there is a significant acquisition. KK didn't even come to us for 'cash' when they bought the 80 stations in Ethiopia!

With the profits for 2010 [if KK pays a tiny dividend] KK can use the cash to buy a network in Mozambique...

I'm observing keenly the oil behaviour which wants to jump to $90/barrel. If it can reclaim that level, $100 will be surpassed. And God forbid no Iran war. That would spook supply and break the $150 all time high in 2008.
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

KK is back with a vengeance!
They have started winning tenders to bring in crude under OTS... KK will be even better off when NOCK fails to fulfil their part of the 30% deal...

While passing through hurli today, i saw fuel at 101 at kenol, opposite the road at shell 98.90. kobil at yaya 101. and im sure ngong road its the same story. Its been 3 bob more expe for months now. I wouldn't fuel there, but if they are making money and still having good sales, then so be it.

As a consumer I do not understand it either! [I only use the major brands coz I fear adulteration by independents] As a shareholder I am amazed KK gets away with being the priciest on the market.

What do other consumers say regarding KK's prices of petrol?
