Today was a day i want to forget as i joined over 100000 clients whose credit cards have to be replaced after credit card fraud. How this thugs got hold of my credit card details i have no idea but they managed to book an airline ticket with my details in Spain---Epicenter of credit card fraud. The details of the fraudster-traveler are already known and will expose the gang.

The transaction is disputed and i will get my money back but beware. As i wait for 10 working days for a new card i have to switch to prepaid card. Bottom line.... if you want a credit card get it from a reputable bank and watch it online from time to time.

Whether you are using reputable banks or not, so long as you are transacting, that is how you get patikanad.....

I agree with you 100%. By the way the company is a spanish low cost airline VUELING AIRLINE. I just googled and the list of waliopatikana is huge.
The only difference with a reputable bank or company is that if you can prove its not you and you block your card you pay nothing.

Most likely your card was skimmed (copying of your details from the magnetic strip of your debit or credit card) at a place where you had transacted. So even if you get a new card, bado u will be skimmed and skinned! Can you recall where you have been using the card, is it consistently a certain point of sale? Did any ATM u used look a bit strange - some have skimming devices. Certain hotels here in CBD are notorious, as are some shops esp one near wabera st.Even some restaurants in westlands were once known to skim cards!

Thanks intelligentsia.....
I have been in contact with my credit card provider... another card has been prepared and will be with me on monday. I was told that fraud is not as a result of a skimmed card but my info was stolen from a company which i had transacted with and the issue is whether their website was hacked or they misused the info. The person who did that was due to travel yesterday and the concerned were still looking for him...am yet to get details of that.
Lakini siwezi ishi bila credit card...if it were a debit card it would have been a confirmed loss. If you dispute a transaction which did not require a pin to go through then you do not get charged if you can prove it was fraud.
