@Cool jamaa,

Have ever heard of a place called church. Especially catholic church. It is a good place for solace. They will preach hope to you. Hope is an important ingredient in anyones life.

Second question, besides your so called failures, have you ever met real challenges? Is everything provided for you? Were you spoilt in your upbring? Have you ever been left on your own? Try mountain climbing,fishing, camping etc.

Cool Jamaa you've put yourself in a quandry now, with all this advice coming from all corners, you'll just end up confused. Find one person to guide you through such times. A mentor

@Cool Jama, cheers!

I must agree with @brav, your post takes real courage. I have to say, I may have the issues, but I don't have the guts - kudos! Not all is lost, the same guts are what will make the difference...

Destiny still favours you; see the random quote on Wazua today, the same day you made your post: Failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day - Jim Rohn Just a few errors, easy to fix I'd say.

And since it's evident you are a man of action, start planning, maybe volunteering over the weekends, teaching a little of what you love - may be even sales or IT, and who knows, you'll find your passion.

@Carygoh: Would very much welcome that :) Muganda.....found the quote to be a curious coincidence, @ KL mentor is a good idea and will give the idea some serious thought. Fundamentali, will think through your ideas too....have faced some challenges but most have to do with poor decisions and a bit of a wild/stubborn streak.

Do any of you guys struggle with regret?

@coolj-it isn't the amount of time that you've been down that matters,the question is do you want to rise? if so start with simple things like joining a gym, a church,a club (the gym worked for me).but most importantanly it begins with your mind,banish words like failure from your lingo,unless you are talking bout the mpigs.change the soundtrack of your life to winning.live your life for you.
if you aint livin on the edge,you are taking too much space....

Sawa, will drop you an email. On the motivational resources bit, A good friend of mine who is a motivational speaker can lead you through it. Am not sure about her rates to individuals though,but am 100% sure,she wil be of help anywayz. please write to her on irene@royalandrich.com and check out her website for inspirational and personal growth stuff. www.royalandrich.com She also holds motivational talks regulary,for groups,which are cheaper than one on ones(i guess). Follow her on facebook and you'll get regular updates on all she does together with other motivational speakers from all over the world.

On the dad issue... Mavuno Church recently had a very moving and interesting 4week sermon session on the effects of Dads in our lives. Am sure it will be of help to you! You can get Audio Cds on the same from Mavuno and listen. It sure was helpful to many. Helps you understand why we behave the way we do sometimes.. Below is the link. if it doesn't open, please go to www.mavuno.wordpress.com and search for 'Project daddy'
