Yep. Towards the end of trading, about 6 million KK shares were traded at 11. Kind of reminds you of the huge trades at 9 bob and 10 bob

The KK Group has finalized to open an office in Zimbabwe effective January 1, 2011. The move will consolidate the company's presence towards the South Africa region, and comes only four months after it registered a company in Mozambique in July 2010. The company is preparing for the commencement of business activities in both Zimbabwe and Mozambique effective 2011, and is already scouting for investment opportunities in both countries………..

The company has commissioned two state of the the art LPG Filling Plants, one in Uganda and the other one in Rwanda, to support its LPG brand, K-gas which has been undergoing phenomenal growth in the two markets.

Somehow I can't attach the press release. Anyone can show me how?

This is old news and if anything, I find it a tad disappointing. Reason, KK had issued a statement in July 2010 indicating that it had opened an office in Moz. I was expecting that they had already started operations!!!

This is about Zimbabwe not Mozambique [which was mentioned since it is included in the Move South strategy]

@mwanahisa,acquisitions and start ups and especially in other countries can be expected to have challenges at the beginning,i believe when all is up and running, shareholders will be smiling.
Let the management get it right. And like @VVS,has said above Zimbabwe also appears to be in play now.

Im just amazed at how this company survives in the market and yet they have the most expensive fuel in the industry.

This guyz have been charging 100 or near 100 per litre of petrol for like the last 3 months and they feel zilch.

I will await more news before I am convinced. The Zim angle is great, but we need more flesh to the story. Interestingly, there's nothing new on the KK website.

@nahdy. I have now seen the story. It seems I had been looking at a different webpage. This should certainly be interesting. The Zim economy has been on a recovery path and if KK can get in at this point, I am sure it will be well positioned as the Zim economy returns to a growth path. Not too long ago, these guys had an economy that was bigger than Kenya's.

I remember visiting Bulawayo in 2000 when the meltdown was just beginning and I was amazed at the cleanliness, the orderliness and lack of potholes on the road. I had driven all the way from Livingstone/Vic Falls and the road was damn smooth.

On this account, I take back my earlier comments at 10.23 a.m.
