Someone care to explain why this share will not rise like its counterpart DTB? It hit 51/- and quickly retreated to its 47-48/- levels. d'oh!

I cant explain sometimes the market fails to notice some stocks. I remember even DTB remained in the 80s range for a while. Let us wait for 3Q results. I think NIC might be jolted upwards when the results are announced. Me thinks it should hover around 70

Glad to see someone here shares my curiosity. At these new levels, 47-48/-, opportunity presents itself for one to stock up more of this share. Lets wait for those Q3 numbers then shall we....smile

Money is the limitation, I am sure if one looks at the 5yr horizon, NIC and DTB will record better returns than the other listed banks. Just that we get bored, feel frustrated and harassed when the share prices fall. Else this is the time we should be buying...read Christopher H. Brown's book of value investing.

True @Pkoli. I suppose if one sets a price target of say 70/- on this stock then take a seat bask and wait, good things may befall him. I recommend this stcok to be part of any investors financial stocks portfolio. In this basket I also throw in Jubilee and yes,DTB. What are your thoughts here sir?

Very true, I will not forget KCB and ofcourse my OTC share CIC. Last week at Mindspeak, I attended a presentation of MOO talking about the journey of KCB. I dare not leave it in my portfolio. Jubilee is a gem like people have said here before. DTB was a sleeping giant for a long time, its value is slowly unlocking. I am also keeping CFC for demerger. I think it is still undervalued. My 2 cents

Mr. Market likes to shake out the excess passengers so that the bus can be able to go uphill smile

I'm still looking for 56.40. Above 60 will see this share go parabolic as per the chart pattern.
